SRPC's Virtual Orientation: Exploring Rural Residency

Join us for a comprehensive 2-hour virtual session designed to introduce medical students and International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to the world of Rural Residency and Rural Health.

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the unique and rewarding path of rural residency and discover how it can shape your medical career.

Description:
The first hour will feature a few SRPC members, a presentation on why residents choose rural medicine, and a large Q&A session. In the second hour, we’ll break into smaller groups by school, where medical students can engage directly with residents and Med School Liaisons and ask questions that will provide insights into various rural residency programs.

Objectives:

• Increase awareness/knowledge on what rural residency looks like
• Promote connection with the SRPC and advertise the rural residency tour and the SRPC's Rural Residency Catalogue.
• Providing a space for medical students/IMGs to network with current rural residents
